Most productivity systems try to solve everything with more apps. But over time I realized something simple: thinking works better when it starts on paper. In this video I show the simple 3-item pocket productivity system I use every day — a notebook, a pen, and my phone — and how this small workflow helps me capture ideas, filter information, and avoid turning digital tools into clutter. Instead of building complicated productivity setups, I rely on a simple analog-digital workflow: • a notebook as a “second brain” • a quick daily capture system • a simple evening review • moving only the valuable ideas into digital tools You’ll see how I combine paper with digital tools like Notion for organizing books and video ideas, and Taste for saving films to watch later. This system helps me: • reduce phone usage • avoid digital clutter • capture ideas faster • stay focused without complex productivity apps If you're interested in digital minimalism, simple productivity systems, analog note-taking, or building a second brain without overwhelm, this workflow might help you simplify your thinking process. 💬 Question for you: Are you team digital or team paper? About This Video

Most productivity systems try to fix your life by adding more apps. I went the other direction. In this video, I show my entire pocket productivity system: a small notebook, a pen, and my phone. That’s it—no complicated mind maps, no 14 layers of organization—because I care more about simplicity and speed than the feeling of having a “super system.” My notebook is my slightly chaotic commonplace book—my second brain where everything lands first: habit trackers, video ideas, to-do lists, B-roll notes, book and movie recommendations, random thoughts, and brain dumps. During the day, I don’t filter or structure anything—I just capture. Then in the evening, I do a quick review and ask one question: “What’s actually worth keeping?” Most stays on paper. Only the valuable stuff moves into digital tools: books go into a simple Notion list, video ideas go into my YouTube board (usually by duplicating a script template), and movies go into Taste. The notebook is the rough draft of my life, and my phone is a more intentional layer—so I spend less time on my phone, avoid digital clutter, and stay focused without building a system inside another system.
