Spring is almost here, and the fragrance world is moving FAST—so in this video I’m giving you my real thoughts on the new viral releases that everybody’s talking about, and whether they’re actually worth your time or your coin. I start with The 7 Virtues Strawberry Jam (pistachio, strawberry, marshmallow, vanilla). On first spray it gave me a little “yum bougie marshmallow” energy, but softer and way more airy than the name suggests—I was expecting ooey, gooey, syrupy strawberry jam and I’m not getting that yet. Because The 7 Virtues scents can change a lot over time, I grabbed a travel size and I’m letting her sit before I decide on a full bottle. Then we get into Valentino Donna Born in Roma Purple Melancholia. On me, it read as a super sweet, almost candied plum situation—pretty, but not the grown, sexy “purple royalty” oomph I wanted. The real star for me was the men’s Purple Melancholia Uomo (cardamom, lavender, coconut, amberwood) on my boo—love at first sniff, even though it turns a little aggressive on my skin. I also ranked the Bridgerton scents (Rebel Vanilla and Graceful Hydrangea are neck-and-neck for #1), talked about why Kylie Cosmic Intense is staying at the store for me, and gave a wear-test update on Kilian Her Majesty—majestic, green-leaning, not blind buy safe, and not a repurchase… but my guy loves it, so she’s staying.
