Some people find dandelions to be useless weeds, but I have always loved their bright yellow blooms. They are a sure sign of spring, and I always look forward to seeing them in my garden. Recently, I made my batch of cold process soap using dandelions. I was so happy with the results! The soap is a beautiful yellowish colour and I have added a lovely essential oil floral scent. I am really looking forward to using it. I gathered the dandelions from my garden a few weeks ago and infused them in olive oil. I then added the infused oil to my soap batter along with lye and water. After 48 hours hours, I was able to cut it into bars. I am so pleased with how this soap turned out. It is a beautiful and fragrant addition to my bathroom. I would definitely recommend making your own dandelion soap if you have the opportunity. Here are some additional details about the soap: Ingredients: dandelion-infused olive oil, lye, bay leaves hydrosol water Colour: light yellow Scent: floral Cure time: 4-6 weeks Benefits: dandelions are a natural source of vitamins A and C, and they are also said to have cleansing and detoxifying properties. I hope you enjoy making your own dandelion soap! Music: https://freemusicarchive.org/music/hji-zerena/crystal-light/crystal-light-8mp3/ #dandelions #handmadesoap
