Boy, do I have a story for y’all. The year was 2017. I had just decided to embark on a career in marketing after being stuck at a dead-end job for a few years. I obtained some entry-level skills, whipped up my resume, and hit the job search streets. Up popped this perfect Content Marketing Specialist II position. I read the job description carefully. After realizing I met 100% of the qualifications, I applied. Two days later I heard back and completed the screening call. Things started off well, then went downhill quickly. 40 days, and 4 rounds of interviewing with 9+ people later, the recruiter went silent. Then I got the rejection email saying they went with someone who was more qualified. My gut instinct was telling me this was BS.
