Did you know that your resume should only be two pages? Yes – you read that right. Any resume that exceeds 2 pages, unless it’s a resume for a particular field, is at risk of increased rejection. And because no one is job searching for fun, I don’t want you to miss any opportunities that you could be eligible for. Keeping your resume within the recommended 2-page length boils down to a few things, including how far back you go into your job history, how many bullet points you have for each job, and how targeted/tailored you’re positioning your resume for specific roles. But aside from that, there are plenty of layout and formatting mistakes that can also contribute to how long your resume is. Things like using large font sizes, all capital letters, and not using columns to list your skills can waste precious space. To make sure you’re keeping your resume within the 2-page length window so it has a better chance of being seen by recruiters, I recorded this video to give you all some tips on how to save space on your resume.
