I’m sure you’ve seen many people go viral on social media for sharing their salary or compensation information. This has been a trend in the pay/salary transparency movement taking over in recent years. To give credit to those who do it for the right reasons, they want to help the next worker to ensure they are not being lowballed or offered a below-market salary. Seeing the salary info of someone with the same experience, background, and skills has its pros, such as encouraging you to negotiate a higher salary or reject a job offer that isn’t paying you what you’re worth.
