At the beginning of 2022, following the world opening back up post-pandemic, I weighed 190 pounds. Given that I’m only 5’4 and 33 years old, I was considered obese. Before COVID I was a certified gym junkie, sometimes working out 3 times a day. At that time, I weighed 152 pounds – I was perfectly healthy and in shape. But when the world went on lockdown, gyms and health centers closed down for months. I also went through a few personal and life challenges that uprooted everything around me. To cope, I pretty much ate and drank my feelings and emotions. By the time COVID was coming to an end, I was overweight. I gave myself 1 year to get my body back. This meant changing my eating habits, getting back into a workout routine, and making permanent lifestyle changes.
