In this video I review the 64 Audio Tiá Trio, one of 64 Audio’s hybrid IEMs, and I’m basically testing a very specific idea: can it give me the dynamic driver bass I wanted while keeping the overall tuning and resolution vibe I like from the U12T? A huge shout-out to the viewer who loaned me this set—this review wouldn’t have happened without that. I go over the core specs, build, comfort, and then spend most of the time on what matters: the tuning and how it actually performs. Sound-wise, the Tiá Trio comes in with a real bass shelf (around 6–7 dB down low) and it absolutely is a basshead IEM—good dynamic driver slam and nice texture, even if I still don’t think it quite matches the IER-Z1R’s bass technicalities. Detail is strong, but to me it’s not “$2,300 detail,” and I find the U12T more resolving. The bigger issue for my preferences is the tuning: that 1 kHz dip and the 4–5 kHz recession throw off the midrange in a way I don’t love, even though it stages and images well. Overall, I still think it’s worth trying if you want a high-end bassy IEM, but it’s not my cup of tea compared to the U12T (tuning) or the IER-Z1R (my preferred kilobuck basshead pick).
