In Part 2 of my 2023 dark aesthetic home office tour, I’m walking you through the updates I’ve made to the space—especially the shelving behind my desk, the wall decor, and all the plants that bring the room to life. For reference, my workspace is pretty compact (3.33m long, 1.91m deep, 2.56m high), but I’ve managed to keep it organized and accessible with the right storage choices and a few practical upgrades. I talk about comfort first: the Sihoo V1 has honestly been a game-changer for me (I’ve been using it 8+ hours a day for two months), and the rug helps a lot with that cozy, inviting vibe. Then I get into the details that make the setup feel “finished”: cleaner cable management with budget trays, the very dark gray wall paint (Titan Pro TP-408), and lighting with Wiz (LED strip + bulb) plus a window diffuser for softer light and privacy. Finally, I break down my plant corner and shelf plants (with care tips), the IKEA Fjällbo shelving units, SKÅDIS pegboards for vertical storage, and my current desk shelf lineup—Ugmonk Gather and my favorite: the Balolo Setup Cockpit.
