It’s Christmas Day, so I’m taking you with me into the city to do a very touristy NYC holiday day. I head to Bryant Park Winter Village first, where it’s honestly packed—so I’m very glad I didn’t spend the money to ice skate. I talked about how expensive skating can get on peak days (I saw prices around $50+ once fees get added), and since I’m not even good at it (I’m a “hold the wall the whole time” type), I’d rather save it for off-peak season. I also show my Christmas-themed nails (dark green because I’ve already done red), and I try a Nutella-filled donut at Bryant Park. After that, we make our way to Rockefeller Center and the tree is genuinely stunning in person—huge, bright, and just classic NYC. We grab food at a Thai spot we stumbled upon and I do my very serious noodle soup broth test (because the broth is the most important part). Later, I’m back home in cozy Christmas PJs, decompressing from the crowds, and planning a low-key night: cookies, a Christmas movie (Home Alone 2 or Elf if it’s free), and a little end-of-year reset where I review my 2025 goals and start brainstorming what I want for 2026.
