About This Video

I turned 27 in a place I genuinely didn’t expect to fall in love with: Doha, Qatar. This vlog is my honest, day-by-day experience—starting in Mina District (pastel buildings, boardwalk vibes, and the fish market that somehow still looks aesthetic), then settling into the sweetest birthday surprise at Alwadi Hotel Doha. Doha surprised me because it’s luxury, but quiet—clean streets, calm energy, and architecture that feels intentional everywhere you go. I spent time at Doha Beach Club (low-season pricing was honestly amazing), explored cultural spots that made me slow down, and had one of my favorite moments of the trip at a mosque wearing an abaya, listening to a recitation and getting an English translation of the Quran. Day three was all about the desert safari: dune bashing that felt like a roller coaster, ATV riding through endless sand, sandboarding (harder than it looks), holding a falcon, and ending at the Inland Sea where the desert meets the ocean. I also walked Msheireb Downtown (minimal, sleek, futuristic), did perfume shopping + made my own scent in Souq Waqif, and visited both the Museum of Islamic Art and the National Museum of Qatar (both 50 QAR and 100% worth it). I’ll say it again: Qatar is underrated, and this trip genuinely shifted my perspective.
