About This Video

What’s up guys, Graham with Mako Sports here—this video is my full review of the STX Surgeon RZR lacrosse gloves after actually wearing them for a while. Right off the bat, these are some of the coolest gloves I’ve ever seen. The finger design looks like a skeleton, and I get compliments on them all the time. I’m an all-white guy, but STX has a ton of color options, and they even dropped limited edition fade versions that look super clean. They’ve also got that little mouthguard elastic, which is a small gimmick, but honestly pretty useful. The big thing that sets the Surgeon RZR apart is the one-piece construction: one piece of foam split into 48 blocks per glove. You’d think that would feel stiff, but they’re extremely flexible and the break-in is basically nothing—after about a week of playing they were perfect, and you can realistically throw them on and play right away. The hand feel is super natural, the fit depends on sizing (I like mine a little big), and the ventilation is legit between the fingers and through the palm with their second-skin setup. Even though they’re light and breathable, they’re still very protective—PLL, MLL, NCAA guys are taking way bigger checks than I am in these and I haven’t heard complaints. Yeah, $180 is high, but to me they’re worth it: best gloves I’ve ever worn, lightest, best feeling, most breathable, and overall just premium.
