About This Video

This video is my 2024 NFL season HDR test—just a straight compilation of clips I shot to see how the footage holds up in 4K HDR. I didn’t do any major shot matching on purpose, because I wanted to stress-test real-world variation: different lighting, different moments, and different lenses. You’ll notice some clips lean more neutral, and others push into my custom Kodak 2383 look so you can feel the contrast, color separation, and overall “film” vibe. Everything here was captured on the Sony FX3, and I ran a mix of glass depending on the moment—ultra-wide for atmosphere, longer focal lengths for isolating action, and some character lenses when I wanted a different texture. I cut and colored the whole thing in DaVinci Resolve, keeping the workflow simple and focused on seeing what the HDR pipeline is doing. If you’re into sports production, color, or just want to see what 4K HDR can look like in fast-paced football coverage, this is the kind of test I actually trust: real clips, real conditions, no over-polish.
