This video is the morning after my very first night living in my car — and it’s the kind of cold that makes you question every decision you’ve ever made. It was about –11°C, and the main mission was simple: figure out how to get out of my sleeping bag without instantly hating my life. I share a small winter car camping trick that helped me actually start moving, then I wake up beside a Cracker Barrel to the smell of bacon (which is both hilarious and painfully tempting when you’re trying to be “responsible”). From there, I head inside for breakfast and try to warm up properly before a long drive. I also stop at Cuyahoga Valley National Park for a winter hike — and it turns into one of those classic winter days where everything is a little icier, a little more closed, and a little more complicated than you planned for. Nothing dramatic happens, and that’s kind of the point. It’s just a real car-life morning: adjusting, problem-solving, and learning what works one cold step at a time.
