For years, I’ve run an online shop centered around a curated collection of vintage goods, so bringing that vision to life in a physical space feels incredibly exciting. We’re focusing on the cash wrap area, where customers will check out, along with the rest of the lower level as the store continues to take shape. About This Video

In this extreme retail store makeover, I’m tackling the main level of my new Lone Fox retail space—specifically the cash wrap area (aka the checkout zone) and the rest of the lower floor as everything starts coming together. I’ve spent years curating vintage for my online shop, so getting to translate that same thrifted-to-designer energy into a real, physical store is honestly so exciting. This part of the build is all about setting the foundation for how customers will move through the space and where the “moment” of checkout lives. I’m thinking through function and flow first—making sure the cash wrap feels intentional, practical, and on-brand—then layering in the cozy, curated vibe I’m known for. The biggest takeaway here is that a store (just like a home) needs zones that work hard: a place to land, a place to browse, and a place that feels welcoming from the second you walk in. As the main floor takes shape, I’m focused on building something that feels elevated but still warm, collected, and very Lone Fox.
