In this video I share my honest review of Ann Troast’s Without Doors Charlotte Mason curriculum for Canada. I tested it for a few weeks so I could go beyond first impressions and talk about what it’s actually like to use in real life—especially if you’re trying to keep your homeschool simple while still following a Charlotte Mason approach. I walk through how Without Doors is laid out from Kindergarten through Grade 8 and what makes it especially appealing for “family subjects” and together time. If you’re looking for a way to bring your kids around the table for shared learning—things like read-alouds, picture study, composer study, and other rich CM-style subjects—this is the kind of program that aims to make that feel doable and not overwhelming. I also share my thoughts after trialing it: what I liked, what I’d want to adjust, and who I think it’s a good fit for so you can decide if it belongs in your own curriculum planning.
