In this video I’m in full homeschool curriculum research mode for next fall, and I’m sharing an honest review of the math programs we’ve actually used—what worked for us, what didn’t, and why. I start by talking through different “types” of math curriculum, because I’ve learned that before you even pick a program, it helps to know what kind of approach your child needs (and what kind of teaching you can realistically keep up with). Then I walk through four resources: Primary Mathematics (Singapore Math), Beauty and Truth Math, Math-U-See, and Beast Academy as a supplement. I give my impressions and do flip-throughs so you can see what the lessons look like, how much is included, and what the student experience is like. If you’re trying to decide between a more traditional/structured program, a gentler Charlotte Mason-friendly option, or something hands-on and mastery-based, this video is meant to help you narrow it down. My goal isn’t to crown one “best” curriculum—it’s to share the real-life pros and cons so you can choose what fits your homeschool right now.
