In this Classroom Setup Day 1 video (with a very realistic June twist), I’m taking you into my third grade classroom early—before the big summer clean even starts. I’m not doing a full makeover yet, but I am doing a few intentional “future me” tasks that make August Victoria’s life so much easier. After 9 years of teaching (and 8 years in the same room), I’ve learned that the best classroom setups don’t happen in one weekend—they happen in small, smart steps. If you’re a new teacher (or you just want a better flow in your room), this video is all about where I like to start: thinking through what will save time later, what needs a simple reset now, and what can wait. I also share a little bit of real life as a teacher mom—balancing school, home, and everything in between—because that’s honestly the only way I know how to do this.
