In this video, I sit down and do a very honest “if I could do it all over again” review of my language learning journey. I go language by language and talk about what I wish I’d changed—my study materials, my methods, and even the way I set goals—because a lot of my progress (and frustration) came down to consistency, direction, and choosing the right kind of input at the right time. I reflect on Spanish, French, Arabic, Russian, Mandarin, Wolof, and German, and I share the regrets and lessons that came with each one. The big takeaway is that it’s not just about picking a language—it’s about picking a sustainable routine, getting enough exposure, and being realistic about what each language actually requires from you.
