Fixing woodworking mistakes is a common duty of every woodworker, sometimes the wood is problematic with hidden knots or cross grain or other issues, and sometimes it is the woodworker who was expecting a bit more from the wood than what it can deliver, like probably the most common problem, fixing chair or stool rungs, but it could also fixing corners of picture frames or boxes to make them look better, but often repairs involve adding wood pieces and either trying to match color and grain or adding contrasting woods for things like making wooden butterflies or bowties to hide nasty knots that are not repairable or to prevent boards for cracking further near the end of the board, lots of things we can do to fix woodworking mistakes and finish repair.
