About This Video

In this video I’m at Village Motorsports checking out inventory, then loading up my brand new 2025 YZ250 and heading straight to Brushy Mountain Motorsports Park to start the break-in. I show the whole flow—first laps on a fresh bike, getting a feel for the power, and just trying to be smart about heat cycles and not riding it like it’s already got 50 hours on it. It’s basically a first-date ride with a two-stroke: listen to it, feel what it wants, and don’t do anything dumb. Once I’m at Brushy, I mess around in the pits a bit, check out the track, and then go explore an “easy” trail that ends up being a little more work than advertised. After the ride, I finish the day the right way—power washing the YZ and giving you my final thoughts after the initial break-in session. If you’re picking up a new YZ250 (or any new-to-you bike), this is the real-world version of what that first day looks like: ride, learn, clean, and make notes for the next trip.
