Apple just refreshed the AirPods Max… but what actually changed? In this video I compare AirPods Max 2 vs the original AirPods Max to see what’s new, what stayed the same, and whether the upgrade is worth it. We’ll break down the AirPods Max 2 features, design changes, USB-C support, colors, sound quality, noise cancellation, and how they compare to the original AirPods Max (Lightning). If you're wondering whether you should upgrade to AirPods Max 2, keep your current AirPods Max, or buy them for the first time, this video will help you decide. I also cover real-world differences including audio performance, comfort, battery life, connectivity, and Apple ecosystem features. If you're shopping for premium Apple headphones, deciding between AirPods Max 2 vs AirPods Max, or just want to know what’s different with AirPods Max 2, this video explains everything clearly. #iGageitTech

About This Video

In this video I compare AirPods Max 2 vs the original AirPods Max 1 and basically ask the question everyone’s thinking: what actually changed… and is any of it worth $549? I go through the big spec differences like the H2 chip (instead of H1), updated Bluetooth 5.3, and the new software features you’re getting now—adaptive audio, conversation awareness, voice isolation, and personalized volume. Apple also claims up to 1.5x better active noise cancellation, and I put that in context by comparing it to AirPods Pro 2. But here’s the honest takeaway: the design is the same, the size is the same, battery life is still 20 hours, and yes… it’s still the same smart case (bummer). Lossless audio over USB‑C is here, and there are some genuinely nice quality-of-life upgrades, but it still doesn’t feel like a “must-upgrade” product. If you already have AirPods Max 1, I don’t think upgrading makes sense unless your Lightning pair is literally breaking and you just need to replace them. And if you’re buying for the first time, you can do it if you can swallow the price (and the weight), but I still struggle to recommend them at $549—at $350–$400, it’d be a totally different conversation.
