Welcome back to my best Android apps of the month—this time for November 2025. In this video I ran through 15 apps that are mostly newer, underrated, and genuinely useful, from tiny quality-of-life upgrades to open-source tools that feel like they should’ve shipped with Android. I kicked things off with No Volume, which replaces the boring volume slider with a super satisfying scroll wheel you can fine-tune to the exact percentage, and then I made my status bar way more fun with Yumo—animated little pets (and even custom PNGs) that don’t get in the way or destroy battery. From there, I got into the practical stuff: Privacy Guard helps you actually find and disable the Google data and location settings that are scattered across a million pages, and Edge Seek lets you swipe the edges to control brightness/volume while still keeping your normal back gesture. I also covered Flicky for browsing F-Droid on Android TV, PaperAI for modern OCR scanning into searchable PDFs, and Reef for a clean, no-BS screen time blocker with Material You theming. Then I rounded it out with tools like CS Security (offline, no ads, real ClamAV definitions), Toolkit Tiles for quick settings utilities, Mark for auto-deleting screenshots, and Live Media to bring Samsung-style media controls to any Android 16 phone.
