About This Video

I’ve actually been dailying the POCO X8 Pro, and the biggest surprise is how well it plays with Apple stuff. I can mirror the phone straight onto my iPad (and even a MacBook), control it from there, and keep using other apps at the same time. File sharing is just as slick too — I can literally drag a file from an Apple device onto the POCO and it transfers instantly, and I can also send files the other way using Xiaomi Share. POCO’s also planning to add iPhone notification syncing in a future update, and iPhone support for the mirroring in a later OTA, which is kind of wild for an Android phone at this price. Outside of the cross-device magic, it’s just a fun, clean phone. You’re getting a glass back, rounded corners, slim bezels, and there’s even a subtle RGB light inside the camera lenses that can show notifications, calls, or charging status. The 6.59-inch 1.5K 120Hz OLED is a really nice sweet spot for one-handed use but still great for content. Performance isn’t the absolute fastest (Dimensity 8500 Ultra with liquid cooling), but it felt totally fine day-to-day, and battery life is excellent thanks to the 6,500mAh cell. Charging is the real hero: 100W gets 0–100% in about 48 minutes, plus you’ve got 27W reverse wired charging. Cameras (50MP wide + 8MP ultrawide) are okay — but overall, if you bounce between Apple and Android, this is a ridiculously compelling $329 phone.
