About This Video

So you want to make your Samsung Galaxy look cool and actually feel fast—especially if you’ve just picked up a Galaxy S26. In this video I run through my “under 10 minutes” setup that takes a stock Galaxy from boring to way cleaner, snappier, and more personalized. First, I fix a couple of Samsung defaults that I don’t think are worth it: I turn off RAM Plus to get storage back (and avoid extra wear on flash memory), then I speed up animations using Good Lock + the Home Up module. I also kill a huge source of slowdown and annoyance—ads—by setting Private DNS to dns.adguard.com. After that, I tackle the look. For the lock screen, I show my favorite depth-effect style where the clock sits behind the wallpaper elements, using the Depth Wallpaper app for the easiest setup (plus that seamless lock-to-home clock transition). I also show a quick Good Lock workaround to “remove” Samsung’s default lock clock so the wallpaper can actually shine. Then I build out the home screen: 6x7 grid, KWGT widgets (including my custom pack), a transparent folder trick, and a clean set of stock Samsung widgets that are actually useful day-to-day. Finally, I add my favorite flex: a hidden, fingerprint-protected “secret compartment” folder that can also hide apps from your drawer and search.
