About This Video

In this video I break down everything you need to know about the Google Pixel 10a—Google’s newest budget-friendly A-series Pixel that’s still starting around $500. I’ll be real: I was expecting more this year, because the mid-range space is stacked with competition. But there are a few things the 10a absolutely nails, especially the design. Google kept that clean Pixel look, made the back completely flat by removing the tiny camera bump from the 9a, and it feels genuinely solid in-hand even with all the recycled materials (100% recycled aluminum frame and 81% recycled plastic back). Plus the colors are actually fun—lavender is easily my favorite. I also go through the display upgrades (same 6.3-inch 1080p OLED, slightly smaller bezels, up to 3,000 nits peak brightness, and tougher Gorilla Glass 7i), battery and charging (still 5,100mAh, but faster 30W wired and 10W wireless). Performance is where I was a bit disappointed: it’s still 8GB RAM, UFS 3.1, and the same Tensor G4, so you’re not getting the Tensor G5 jump. Cameras are the same hardware too (48MP main + 13MP ultrawide), but you do get newer Pixel 10-style software features like Auto Best Take, Gemini-powered Camera Coach, Gemini in the editor, and Satellite SOS—plus the usual core Pixel features and 7 years of updates. It launches March 5th, and I’ll ask the big question: are these minimal changes enough for you?
