In this video, I discuss the result of migrating from OPNsense to a full stack Grandstream network as an alternative for those who enjoy having a single pane of glass management. This deployment will be compared to how I utilized OPNsense in my home network to demonstrate the differences. I will be featuring the Grandstream GCC6020 convergence device which is essentially a router, firewall (with 6 Gbps IDS/IPS capabilities), 1/2.5/10 Gbps PoE switch, and an IP PBX rolled into a single device. While I am an advocate for having certain devices dedicated to a specific function to have more flexibility when upgrading, the combination of a router and a firewall works well in home network and small office environments. For small/home offices, the IP PBX functionality may also be an appealing feature. Disclosure: Grandstream sent me the GCC6020, GWN7721P, and the GWN7672 and other hardware featured in the video. It also includes some hardware I purchased from Grandstream.
