About This Video

End of January, I did a quick progress check on my content creation journey and shared three things I learned just by forcing myself into “practice mode.” This month I set a simple goal: make 2–3 short-form videos a week and post them on Instagram and TikTok, even if they felt random. I wasn’t locked into a niche—one clip was a haircut, another was detailing, and another was a cruise recap—but the whole point was to build the habit and get reps in. Honestly, I posted more this month than I did in the last four months of 2023, and I’m proud of that. My first takeaway: don’t overthink your content in the beginning. I used to hold myself back worrying if something “fit” the niche I wanted, but you don’t really know what you want to make until you start making it. Second: the relief after posting is real. Once I got over the fear of judgment and just hit upload, nothing bad happened—everything stayed normal—and I even had friends reach out asking about editing and color grading. Third: it’s actually really fun to look back. These little posts turn into mini vlogs, and seeing the growth (and the connections) makes me want to keep going and share more value—like talking about my work and career stuff too.
