Three weeks into 2024, everything feels like it’s moving 100 mph, so I hit pause and did a real progress check. Getting back to work after the holidays is always tough for me—like I’m energized, but I’m still trying to snap back into “work life.” And on top of that, the layoff wave is реально; I literally got the email, and it makes the whole return-to-work thing feel extra nerve-wracking. Right now I’m just doing heads-down work, trying to get back in the groove, and preparing for a program I have coming up while we source for it. I also tackled the unsexy-but-necessary life maintenance: laundry, cleaning my room, groceries, meal prep…all the stuff that makes everything else run smoother. I had to handle car maintenance too (Honda Clarity life), including finding a new service advisor after moving to SoCal—pro tip: know your service advisor and make sure you vibe with them. Tires were way more expensive than I expected, but price matching helped. On the creative side, I’ve been balancing short-form video projects, an engagement shoot, a website design project, and a lot of dancing. I’m on Project Suit and we’ve been prepping for a showcase with 6–8 hour practice days, plus I’m keeping up with the gym.
