About This Video

Episode 2 of my Korea vlog is basically Day 2 + Day 3 of me trying to do the most—food, streets, cafes, and a little “solo adventure” growth arc. Day 2 starts early (I woke up at 7:48) and I meet up with Tong and Van to hit Gwangjang Market. We pulled up when it was still kinda dead, but it got super packed fast. We tried a bunch of classic market bites—dumplings, noodles, fish cake, gimbap dipped in sauce—and yes… shots at like 11 a.m. because we’re on vacation. Then we went in on beef tartare (with seaweed), and I was fully in my “professional third wheeler” era while they were basically on a date and I’m just trying to stay in the frame. After the market, we headed toward a palace (I literally said “insert palace name here” because I couldn’t pronounce it), and then I did a Hongdae solo explore. Day 3 turns into a cafe day: I skipped a few spots because the lines were too long and I didn’t want to just stand there by myself, so I found a quieter cafe and got a sesame coffee. Solo traveling pushed me out of my comfort zone, but I kept reminding myself the embarrassing feeling is all temporary. We also hit Ikseondong/Insadong, Letter to Me Cafe, Yeouido Hangang Park (I found the floating 7-Eleven), and ended with Hongdae nightlife vibes.
