In this “What’s New at Louie?” video, I go through some of Louis Vuitton’s latest handbags and small leather goods and give you my honest best-or-worst take on what’s actually worth the price. I chat about pieces like the LV20 (which is gorgeous front-on, but I just cannot get past the whole “two pouches stuck together” thing), the Loop bag (love the canvas version, absolutely not the fabric one), and a few releases that honestly feel a bit lazy to me. I also rant a little about LV turning existing pouches into “new” handbags—like the Toiletry Pouch on Chain and Mini Pochette on Chain—because people have already been DIY-ing that with aftermarket chains for years (I literally do it with my Mini Pochette and an Organize My Bag chain). On the flip side, I share the designs I actually think are fun and well-executed, like the Key Bell XL (so cute and collectible), and I explain why I’d avoid high-maintenance choices like the Neverfull MM in cream Empreinte leather. I wrap up with a small leather good I genuinely like: the Romy card holder, which I think is way better value than the Recto Verso style of pricing.
