In this video I’m chatting about the *new* Louis Vuitton Pochette Accessoires with Chain, and why I genuinely think it’s a ripoff at $2,490 AUD. Louis Vuitton basically updated the classic PA by adding a detachable chain and then jacked the price up astronomically, even though it still looks like the same little zip pouch. I totally get why the Pochette Accessoires is hyped (it’s a great starter piece, it’s classic, and the D-rings make it so easy to accessorise), but at this price point I just don’t think it’s worth it anymore. Instead, I share the alternatives I’d actually spend my money on. My first recommendation is to look at the pre-loved/vintage market for the original PA and then customise it with your own straps and chains (I love Organize My Bag for this). Then I go through better “bang for buck” options like the LV Wallet on Chain Ivy (more bag-like and secure), LV Easy Pouch (all leather and more luxe), LV Mylockme Chain Pochette (elegant lock detail), the Celine Ava (chic crescent shoulder bag), the Prada Re-Edition 2005 Nylon (my “Transformer” bag), and the Songmont Luna (all-leather, versatile, and looks way more expensive than the PA).
