In this video I’m doing a very, very belated “what I got for Christmas” — but I really wanted to share it because it was our first Christmas as husband and wife (still weird saying “husband,” not gonna lie). Anthony took one of my old advent calendars (the Stalvana one with all the drawers) and filled it with little trinkets and practical bits he knows I genuinely use. There’s definitely a theme: hand creams (because I use them multiple times a day and my hands get super dry/eczema-prone), L’Occitane rose and cherry blossom minis for travel, Innisfree skincare, cute trivia cards (Friends and Sex and the City), and even a Pusheen fast-food surprise mini… and yes, I got the fries one, which was perfect because potato is basically my favourite food ever. He saved the best till last with the actual Christmas present: the Gentle Monster Her 01 sunglasses. I’ve wanted these for ages and they were honestly hard to find, so I was shocked. What I love is the super flat, futuristic lens and the way Gentle Monster fits my face — the nose rests sit higher, which really helps when you’ve got a flatter nose bridge like me. They sit nicely, don’t rest on my cheeks, and give that big, “celebrity-style” look, with subtle rose gold details that make them feel extra special.
