Hey guys! In this video I’m switching it up from my usual luxury handbag reviews and doing a hair tool review—my first impressions of the Mermade Pro Waver (the Wave Kit 4.0). I tested it to get that beachy, tussled, effortless wave look, and I walk you through exactly how I use it: clamp the hair for around 10–12 seconds, release, then line it up with the last wave and keep going down the hair. I also share the temperature I prefer (180°C) because when I tried higher (around 190–200°C) it felt way too hot and I could literally see steam. I also unbox everything that came in the kit, because it’s honestly so generous for the price—heat-protectant glove, travel pouch, a big pink clip, a rat-tail comb, and even hot pink silk pillowcases. On top of that, I show the Mermade Mist heat styling spray (it’s a thicker, syrupy consistency and smells like cotton candy) and the Pony Kit, which is packed with hair ties, clips, bobby pins and my favourite little flyaway-taming pony gel (it’s like mascara for your baby hairs). Overall, I found the waver super easy and beginner-friendly, with just a couple of small cons: it can feel heavy, and the grip area is a bit short.
