About This Video

I’m taking y’all with me in Nigeria as I go meet an 18-year-old girl who’s currently pregnant and doesn’t have support—her mom just passed last month, and real life is hitting her hard. Nigeria can be really tough for young women to get help with childcare, so I told her we’re going to the baby store and we’re getting what she needs. In the car she was telling me how happy she was, and when we got there, I ran into that store like I was the one pregnant—okay period. She’s having a baby girl, so yes, it was pink everywhere. I started grabbing everything: bottles, wipes, Pampers, bags—anything you can think of for a brand new baby. And one thing I always tell people is Nigeria is different: when you’re about to have a baby, they make you bring basically every single thing you’ll need to the hospital, unlike back in the United States where a lot is provided for you. The store owner was so kind and even added extra items because of the generosity. Before she left, I prayed over her for a safe pregnancy and a successful delivery, and I also gave her extra money. I told her she doesn’t need to kneel to me—just stand up and give me a hug. God truly put me on this earth to be kind and to be a giver, and I’m praying I can bless even more girls like her in Nigeria.
