About This Video

Hey friends! In this video I’m showing you a super simple (and budget-friendly) way to turn a regular floor lamp stand—like the kind you can grab from Walmart—into a balloon garland stand. I did this look for Halloween, but trust me, this setup works for any theme or design you’re going for. I walk you through it step by step, and yes—you will need a Phillips screwdriver and you will be dealing with wires, so just be a little bit careful. I show you exactly which lamp pieces you don’t need (you won’t need the top where the light goes), how to remove the cord from the base, and how to reassemble the pole pieces to the height you want. For this garland, I only used about four of the pole sections because I wanted a smaller display. Then I start building the garland right on the stand using my twisting method to lock balloons into place, plus 5-inch clusters and 260s to add dimension. To finish it off, I add Halloween details like bats, eyeball balloons, and extra BOO letters using glue dots. One of my biggest tips is adding a balloon to the very top of the pole first—this helps prevent balloons near the pole from popping. Make sure you watch to the end to see the final look once I bring it outside!
