Hey friends! In this video I’m putting together an easy, fun Hello Kitty birthday backdrop using a metal arch frame and the white slip cover that comes with it. I show you how I line up and screw in the pieces, and I love that you have flexibility to choose your height and width—I ended up doing a medium size frame. Once the frame is up, I slide the cover on and make sure the creases match on the sides so it lays nice and smooth. Then I walk you through how I build and attach my balloon garland using 260 balloons. I like to start with a big balloon first, tie my 260 onto it, and keep adding more 260s when I need extra length. I’m doing two-color clusters, wrapping them around in a figure-eight (depending on how cooperative the balloons are), and then attaching the garland to the backdrop by tying a 260 around a balloon to hold everything in place. I finish it off with 5-inch balloons for detail (they’re flexible, so you can move them around), add the Hello Kitty balloon, pop on flower balloons with glue dots, and top it all with my Happy Birthday neon sign. And that’s it—simple, budget-friendly, and super cute!
