In this video we explore the "Guided Learning" feature in Google Gemini. Rather than just giving an answer, Guided Learning works a learner through the learning process with questions and multimedia content, adapting to the user’s needs. About This Video

In this video I dig into a really helpful feature in Google Gemini called “Guided Learning.” Instead of Gemini just spitting out an answer, Guided Learning is designed to walk a learner through the thinking process. That means it can ask questions, provide supporting explanations, and bring in multimedia content so the student is actively learning, not just copying. What I like about this approach is that it aligns better with what we want in classrooms: practice, reflection, and growth. Guided Learning can adapt based on what the user needs, which makes it useful for tutoring-style support, skill building, and helping students get “unstuck” without doing the work for them. If you want to go deeper, I’ve got a full write-up on my blog with additional details and examples, and I also link to the MIT study I referenced so you can see the research conversation around AI tools and learning. As always, I’ve included my connect page as a hub for all my resources, trainings, and ways to stay in touch.
