In this March 2025 GEG Ohio meeting, I walk through the key Google Workspace and Gemini updates that matter most for schools, along with a bunch of practical “what does this mean for educators?” takeaways. We start with important links and upcoming events, then dig into what’s new—like consent re-confirmation changes for under-18 users accessing Additional Services, Applied Digital Skills lessons moving to a new platform, and CS First being turned down. I also highlight opportunities like the Google Vids Education Film Festival and new “Help me create” capabilities in Vids. A big chunk of the meeting focuses on AI updates—especially NotebookLM and NotebookLM Plus improvements, expanded file uploads to the Gemini app, and new Gemini features like Deep Research, Gems, Canvas, and Audio Overviews. I also cover major announcements around Gemini 2.5, using your Google apps for more tailored help, and changes to access (including using Gemini without signing in).
