About This Video

In this video I take a big, practical tour of “awesome AI uses in education” and organize it into six classroom-friendly buckets: brainstorming, creating content, altering content, processing information, grading and feedback, and student conversations. My goal isn’t hype—it’s to show real ways educators can use AI tools (including Gemini) to save time, spark ideas, and support learning while still keeping teachers and students in control of the thinking. I start with brainstorming to help generate options (topics, examples, questions, activities) when you’re stuck or short on time. Then I move into creating content—things like drafts, outlines, rubrics, exemplars, and instructional materials you can refine. From there I show how AI can alter content by rewriting for reading levels, changing tone, translating, and adapting materials for different learners. I also dig into processing information, where AI can summarize, extract key points, and help you make sense of longer text. Finally, I cover grading/feedback support and student conversations—using AI to draft feedback, create practice dialogues, and provide guided help. I’ve also shared a resource document with all the examples so you can copy, customize, and use them right away.
