It’s Vlogtober Day 1 and I’m kicking it off with a very NYC kind of day—gym, matcha, fragrances, and a spontaneous Broadway night. I got ready for the gym with my little “gym makeup bag” situation (because I like looking decent, but I’m not trying to be perfect for a workout). I also shared a mini wellness update: I stopped taking pre-workout and a bunch of supplements because I was getting chest pains, and I’ve been feeling fine since. Now, if I need a boost, I’ve been doing green tea instead. The fun part of the day was meeting up with one of my best friends to try matcha at Sorate near SoHo. It’s tiny, bar-style, and the matcha is made right in front of you—super cute and honestly really good. I got the house matcha and she got the premium (hers was $10, mine was around $5), and we tried both. The premium tasted more balanced, while the house was still great but a tiny bit more bitter. We also hit La Cabra for pastries, smelled fragrances at Elorea (I’m still thinking about their scent “Git”), and then I ended the day with an impromptu Broadway show at the Imperial Theatre—Water for Elephants—which was so good it made me want to read the book.
