About This Video

In this video I’m sharing my true 10-minute curling routine with the Vodana curling iron—aka the one curling iron I’ve kept in my collection for years because it just works. Vodana is a Korean brand that’s super popular in Korea (I saw their tools at Olive Young), and I love that “effortless but still put-together” curl look that so many girls wear there. I’m using the biggest barrel (1.6 inch), because it gives me that perfect in-between curl: not a tight ringlet, not a loose wave—just soft, elegant, and flattering. I walk you through exactly how I bump my ends first (because I hate when ends look uncurled—it feels unfinished), then how I curl the mid-lengths while leaving a bit out so the curl stays modern and not too tight. I also show how I add quick height at the crown when my hair is oily/flat by laying hair over the closed iron and pulling it to the opposite side. My biggest takeaway: this look is fast, super wearable for NYC days, and it’s my go-to when my hair is dirty but I still want it to look cute and elevated. I’ve had this iron since 2019 and it’s held up amazingly, which is why I think it’s worth it even around the $100 price point.
