About This Video

It’s still 2022, I’m still living at home in Texas, and since I don’t have a ton of new places to film, I decided to keep it simple and show you what I eat in a day as a WFH software engineer. I was also out for a bit because I got COVID around Christmas/New Year’s and it took me almost three weeks to fully recover, which honestly surprised me. But I’m back to normal now, so we’re starting with breakfast—something I usually skip because I wake up late, but for this video I actually woke up. Breakfast is a bagel from Utopia Bagels (yes, the New York spot Action Bronson featured). I’m in Texas, so I got them shipped overnight through Goldbelly, froze them, and air-fried one—still somehow better than most “fresh” bagels I’ve had. After the usual morning routine (emails, quick work, standup), I grab groceries and talk about how I’m feeling about the new Tesla UI. Lunch is my Texas staple: Chick-fil-A, but I try to make it “healthier” with grilled nuggets and a kale crunch salad… then I ruin it with a Coke. I also shout out today’s sponsor, Flexispot, and show how fast the standing desk setup is. For dinner, I cook grilled pork belly and use the fat to make kimchi fried rice—easy, satisfying, and the perfect end to a WFH day.
