About This Video

In this video I review the Olight ArkPro and break down why it makes such a strong case as an everyday carry flashlight. I start with the unboxing, what you get in the box, and then I compare the three ArkPro models (standard, ultra, and light). In my opinion, the standard version is the best value because the Ultra doesn’t add enough to justify the jump—outside of a slightly brighter floodlight, a glowing symbol, and different materials that also add a bit of weight. From there I walk through the ports, buttons, and how the controls actually work day-to-day: magnetic charging on the bottom, a USB-C port behind the flap, the rotating switch for spotlight/flood/UV, and the side laser button. I demo all four modes (UV, floodlight, spotlight, and the class one green laser), plus how to access moonlight, turbo, and strobe/SOS. Then I do real-world night testing with a fence about 100 feet away so you can see exactly what low/medium/high/turbo look like in both flood and spotlight. Bottom line: it checks the boxes I look for—compact, 4 oz, just under 5 inches—and it’s why I’m using it as my go-to light.
