About This Video

Not often do I test a fat tire eBike that genuinely feels like an electric city bike, but the Kingbull Discover 2.0 surprised me. In this video I unbox it, build it step-by-step, and then put it through real road testing on rocky dirt roads and paved bike trails. Mine is the space gray version and it comes in right under about $1,200, but it still packs a 750W Bafang brushless hub motor, a 15Ah Samsung battery built into the frame, torque-sensing pedal assist, and hydraulic disc brakes. After the build (about 30 minutes to an hour), I walk through the controls and the big LCD display, then I show how to unlock it from the factory 20 mph limit up to 28 mph in the settings menu. On the ride, the front suspension felt super squishy and did a great job eating cracks and divots—on smooth pavement it honestly feels like pedaling on a cloud. I also ran speed tests in gear 7 across pedal assist levels, tested the throttle cap, and did a hard brake test. My takeaway: if you want a sporty, sleek, sub-$1,200 fat tire eBike that can do paved trails plus some dirt and light off-roading, I think you’re getting a lot of value here.
