About This Video

In this video, I put what I consider the top five best mini projectors of 2025 and 2026 head-to-head, with something for basically every budget. I’m covering the Magic Cubic HY300 Pro (under $50), TCL C1 (sub $200), Nebula Capsule 3 (just under $400), Nexigo Nova Mini (under $700), and the LG Cinebeam S (under $1,300). I start with unboxing and accessories, then I go through ports and physical features, and after that I get into the stuff that actually matters: UI, focus/keystone, and overall usability. To keep things fair, I ran the same tests across all five—Google TV vs custom UI, brightness at a 100-inch screen (measured in nine spots and averaged), fan noise at 3 feet while playing YouTube, max-volume speaker tests, and side-by-side video footage. Brightness-wise, the HY300 came in lowest, TCL hit 290, Nebula 330, LG about 500, and Nexigo surprisingly topped the list at 650. My main takeaways: if you want true portability, the battery-powered Nebula Capsule 3 is the move; for best picture quality for the price, the Nexigo Nova Mini is hard to beat; and if money isn’t a concern, my top pick is the LG Cinebeam S—especially because it’s ultra short throw and gives you a 100-inch screen from about 15.5 inches off the wall.
