About This Video

In this review I tested Anker’s 45W Smart Display Charger (Nano) because the “smart recognization” feature instantly caught my eye. The whole idea is simple: you plug in a device and it automatically recognizes what it is, then shows you real-time charging info right on the screen—watts, battery percentage, and even a little “hello” when you first power it up. I’m an iPhone user, so I demo it with my iPhone and Anker’s ultra soft USB-C cable, and I also show the 180° folding prong that makes it easier to fit in tight outlets. I run it through different devices to see how it behaves. With my iPhone, it recognized the phone model immediately and displayed the live wattage (I was seeing around 16–17W in my test) plus my charge limit setting (I had it set to stop at 80%). Tapping the button cycles through extras like phone temperature (“breezing”) and a settings menu where you can switch between Auto and Care mode—Care mode drops charging to a gentler ~13–14W. The big takeaway: this is for anyone who travels or wants one tiny USB-C brick to handle everything—Kindle, iPhone, iPad, even a MacBook Air—without carrying multiple chargers. The animations and smart display are just a fun bonus, but the real win is cutting down space while still getting the right power per device.
