Finally sharing with you all what I packed in my hospital bags for myself and my baby. I felt like I brought back more stuff from the hospital than I packed 😂. What must-have items do you recommend bringing to the hospital? Let me know in the comments. If you found this video helpful, feel free to share it with anyone else who might find it useful. Let's help each other out!

About This Video

In this video I’m finally walking you through what I packed in my hospital bags for labor and delivery—what I actually used, what I didn’t touch, and a couple things I genuinely regretted bringing. I had a vaginal delivery at a hospital in Los Angeles, a 12-hour labor, and a second-degree tear, so I stayed two nights. Looking back now (my daughter is 11 months old), I have a much clearer perspective on what’s truly “necessary”—especially the stuff hospitals don’t typically hand out. I packed my things in a simple weekender bag and packed baby’s items in a diaper bag. For me, comfort was everything: pajamas (not a must-have, but it made me feel special), cozy slippers because I’m always freezing in hospitals, and a regular phone charger (I wasn’t on my phone as much as I thought I’d be). I also talk through the basics like ID/cards, going-home clothes, and toiletries, plus breastfeeding and postpartum recovery items like a nursing bra, a peri bottle, and disposable postpartum underwear. On the “didn’t use/regret” side, I brought a belly belt “just in case” of a C-section (didn’t need it), and a Haakaa that’s a miss for me because my supply was basically Sahara-level at the time. For baby, I kept it super minimal—two footed pajamas for going home, an extra swaddle, and that’s about it, because the hospital supplied almost everything.
