About This Video

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve done a travel video, but I really wanted to challenge myself to bring more lifestyle content back—especially now that we’re exploring with L (she was a tiny six-month-old in a lot of these clips). This episode is basically a mishmash of our favorite family adventures around LA: we visited the “glass church” (Wayfarers Chapel), grabbed brunch in Topanga Canyon at Cafe on 27, and squeezed in a few hikes like Tuna Canyon Trail and Runyon Canyon (aka a workout day for my husband because babywearing is no joke). We also did some classic coastal days—Malibu (Moonshadows + Malibu Pier), Santa Monica Pier, and a unique stop at El Matador Beach for the rock formations and caves. I shared a few real-mom lessons too, like turning back on trails with no shade, and not doing enough homework before a waterfall hike that involved way more stream crossings than I expected (hello, soaked sneakers). We wrapped up with a 2-day trip to Sequoia National Park, standing next to the giant sequoias like ants, catching the shuttle to General Sherman, and walking the Congress Trail—plus the sobering reminder of wildfire damage. Overall: family-friendly, view-heavy, and all about making the most of where you live while you can.
