About This Video

Hello crypto fam—inside this video I showed you, step-by-step, how to properly secure your Bitget Exchange account by adding Google Authenticator (2FA) and then setting up a Passkey. I started from the profile section (top left) where Bitget usually shows that “your account security is below the average level recommended setup,” and that’s your signal to fix your security immediately. My key advice here is simple: do Google Authenticator first, because when you try to create a passkey, Bitget will ask you for your authenticator code. For Google Authenticator, I walked through binding it, confirming your verification codes (email/verification prompts), then adding the key inside the Google Authenticator app (either scan QR or enter the setup key). After that, you paste the fresh 6-digit code back into Bitget to complete the binding. Next, I showed how to add a local passkey by verifying with your email code + Google Authenticator code, and then enabling fingerprint/biometrics. Final takeaway: once both are active, you’ve seriously reduced the risk of unauthorized access—easy peasy, but don’t skip steps.
